Better car care, built from real experience.
We believe car care can be better.
Gincoh began with a frustration that many car owners and DIY detailers know well: too many automotive care products promise strong results, but fail to deliver lasting performance. We have all seen it. A trim restorer that looks deep and rich for a week, only to fade after the next rain. A coating that beads beautifully at first, then disappears after a few washes. A bottle that looks professional on the shelf but leaves you wondering whether it actually made a difference.
We wanted something better. Not just for customers, but for our own cars.
From Frustration to Experimentation
We did not start with a large laboratory, a corporate research team, or a long brand history. We started with a garage, a few cars, and a simple question: why do so many products look impressive immediately after application, yet struggle to hold up in real conditions?
That question led to countless hours of testing.
We tried different formulations, application methods, and surface types. We tested on paint, plastic trim, glass, and interior surfaces. Some early versions looked promising at first but faded too quickly. Some cured unevenly. Some performed well in dry weather but struggled in humidity. Others were difficult to apply or left residue that took more effort to remove than we felt was fair.
Those failures were not setbacks. They were lessons.
Each test taught us something about what matters most: durability, surface compatibility, ease of use, and honest performance. We learned that a great car care product should not require professional training to use, and it should not depend on perfect conditions to work. It should simply perform, wash after wash, drive after drive.
What We Learned Along the Way
The more we tested, the clearer our direction became. We realized that many products are designed to impress at first glance, but not necessarily to last. We wanted to build formulas the other way around: products that look great, yes, but also maintain their performance over time.
We also learned that detailing is not just about appearance. It is about care. When you spend time cleaning, correcting, and protecting a car, you are not just making it look better. You are preserving it. A faded trim piece, a dull paint panel, or a worn interior surface does not always need to be replaced. Often, it just needs the right approach.
That belief became central to Gincoh.
Our Product Philosophy
Gincoh is built around four principles that guide every product we develop.
- Restoration over replacement. We believe worn surfaces deserve careful restoration before anyone considers replacing parts. Preserving original materials is part of respecting the car.
- Performance that lasts. Immediate shine is satisfying, but longevity matters more. We aim for results that hold up through washing, weather, sunlight, and daily driving.
- Designed for DIY detailers. Our products are made for home use. You should not need professional equipment, specialized training, or perfect conditions to achieve a noticeably better finish.
- Tested through real use. Every formula goes through application testing, surface compatibility checks, and real-world evaluation before it becomes a Gincoh product.
Built Through Testing
We do not believe a product is ready just because it looks good in a controlled setting. A car spends its life outdoors, exposed to sun, rain, dust, road grime, and temperature changes. So we test with that in mind.
Before a Gincoh product reaches you, we evaluate how it applies, how it cures, how it reacts to different surfaces, and how it performs after repeated washing. We pay attention to the details that matter in the driveway: whether it levels evenly, whether it leaves haze, whether it feels intuitive to use, and whether the results still look good weeks later.
We do not claim that every formula is perfect from the first attempt. Some prototypes did not meet our standards. Some were close, but not close enough. We refined them until they felt right. That process is ongoing, and it is part of what keeps us honest.
For People Who Care About Their Cars
Gincoh is made for drivers, enthusiasts, and DIY detailers who take pride in their work. Maybe you spend your weekends cleaning and correcting your daily driver. Maybe you are refreshing an older car and want to bring its surfaces back to life. Maybe you simply want your car to look well cared for without turning every detail into a complicated project.
Whatever your reason, we believe the process should be rewarding. You should be able to see real improvement, feel confident in what you are using, and enjoy the result long after the work is done.
We did not start Gincoh to sound like a large chemical company. We started it because we wanted better products for our own cars, and we believed other car owners wanted the same. That mindset still guides everything we make.
